The document “Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms” start with following golden words:

“Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the “SUPREMACY OF GOD” and the rule of law,” and after a marginal note on Rights and Freedoms, the document explains fundamental freedoms and the first one is (a) freedom of conscience and religion; (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; (c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and (d) freedom of association.”

These Rights are achieved after a long struggle of religious groups. However, it seems that the religious groups slept after this achievement and never woke up.

On the other hand, LGBT group started organizing and took control the power bases particularly in Ontario. It seems that Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms belongs to them exclusively and there is no reference of “religion” in Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

How can a country who declares “Supremacy of God” can implement the  same sex marriage law, homo sexual education and culture in the school in the name of “Accepting Education Act” and the sex curriculum that promotes a child to be sexually active from an early age? And where are the rights of parents and the majority who adhere to religious/traditional/God commanded family system?

Why have the golden words of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms have never been implemented in our public life?  If Canada believes in “Supremacy of God” why are we here practicing and believing in the “supremacy of desire of people (an organized minority).”

After the passing of Bill 13 for “New Accepting Education Act,” Phil Lees of P.E.A.C. E. and leader of Family Coalition Party organized a gathering of Christian Religious faith leaders in a Church in Hamilton. From Muslim community; myself and Br. Mujahid Ali from Thorncliffe Park, and two sisters from Mississauga attended the event. Phil Lees has provided me a chance to speak on that occasion and I freely spoke my thoughts.

“Brothers and Sisters! After understanding Bill 13 and its implications, as Phil Lees explained, we came to the conclusion that Public School will be a gender slaughter house. Faith and religious values have no place in the Public education and “gender” is a fluid; even a grade three child can establish his/her gender of their “choice.”

Gender disoriented nation can’t produce children. Canadian human species will start disappearing soon. Hitler has killed one generation. McGuinty’s Liberal government is killing all future generations.

I was surprised to note the group who say that they are environmentalist, those who are very sensitive to save and protect all species; animals, birds, ants and insects but they are supporting the life style that kill human beings before birth,  and that will make disappearance of  the most valuable and important specie of the world; human beings.

I noticed that faith based communities activism have weakened and are at their lowest currently, on the other hand, liberal secular and gay activism are more dominating in Canada particularly in Ontario.

Our community is mostly comprised of new immigrants are not fully aware of the social, political, and cultural atmosphere around us.  In recent months several Islamic organizations have been organizing lectures/seminars dealing with Islamophobia. Liberal politicians convinced Muslim leaders that if you have to save yourself in this Islamophobic environment which they themselves are the biggest contributors to. Apparently, we are not at liberty to say anything against gays and their life style.

My dear Christian brothers and sisters! Islamophobic environment created by some Christian extremist groups are a hindrance in building faith base relationships.

The ground reality is that the faith groups unity particularly Christian-Muslim unity are crucial to change the morally polluted society and its environment.

We (Muslims and Christians) have several things in common. Muslims respect Jesus same as they respect Muhammad peace be upon them. If you want to know the degree of Muslims’ love and affection with Jesus, read the Quran, the divine book of Islam. Muslims are pro life, anti abortion. Homosexuality is an immense sin in Islam. Muslims like to live a pious life. God commanded us not to have sex outside marriage, and ban liquor and gambling.

We are natural allies. We can defeat our common enemy Satan, if we open our heart to each other. Religious activism is crucial in recent time where evil is spreading out with its maximum magnitude.

Most of the attendees applauded and shook hands after this brief speech. The Muslim community has an extra ordinary religious potential. We can bring in our brethren in huge numbers once they are convinced and know what and how things will be done.

Religious alliances particularly Muslim-Christian alliance against the evils of the society is need of the time. It is in a “Now” or “Never” position.

I agree that we must unite as faith based communities to promote the common good. However, both the leaders of the muslim and Christian communities continue to be hesitant to build this much needed alliance. A large part of this hesitation seems to be rooted in each fearing that these interfaith alliances will be used as a platform for the propagation of religious ideologies. Both sides need to overcome these insecurities and work together.
