Alberta Liberal Party under the leadership of David Khan didn’t get a single seat in the Alberta Provincial Election held on April 16, 2019.

David Khan was elected party leader on June 4, 2017. Mr. Khan was born in Calgary; his father migrated from Pakistan. His mother is an English woman.

David Khan is the first openly gay leader of a major Alberta political party.

Khan lost his race in Calgary-Mountain View. It’s the first time since 1982 that the party hasn’t held a seat in the legislature.

In his concession speech, Khan spoke directly to winning United Conservative Leader (UCP) Jason Kenny:

“With your victory comes great responsibility,” he said. “You will be the Premier for all Albertans. This includes the vulnerable, those with special needs and the LGBTQ+ community. Don’t abuse your authority; be fair and inclusive in your decisions.”

The bottom line is that the LGBTQ+ community is David Khan’s highest concern.

Although the Alberta Liberal Party got only one seat in the last election held in 2015, NDP, the custodian of LGBTQ+ cause was ruling the province. Now NDP ousted by UCP in Alberta by 63: 24 seats. No other parties got a single seat in the Provincial Assembly.

UCP Leader Jason Kenney — a former federal cabinet minister who entered provincial politics three years ago with a plan to reunite Alberta’s conservatives — will be the province’s 18th premier. The fledgling party was created by a merger of the Progressive Conservative.

The winning of Conservatives of Alberta Provincial election and Ontario Provincial election (strongest Liberal base) gives a sense of the mood of the people. People having traditional family values played a vital role in both the elections. Denying the fact is denying the real voters and strength of the party.

Liberals and NDP proved their bankruptcy at all fronts --moral, family, social, and economic-- both at provincial and federal level. The result will also reflect soon in the federal October 2019 election.

This column is not in support or to endorse any party. We know that racism, white supremacy, anti-immigration/refugee, Islamophobic and Israel-ist reputation of the Conservative Party has scared our community. Even material and worldly point of view offers its best advice: “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket,” particularly when you know that the basket (Liberal) is going to fall soon.

However, one should not ignore the wave that is coming towards us: Liberals are wrapping, and Conservatives are entering in the coming Federal election.

Our address and invitation to all the parties and their members are to follow the lifestyle brought by the Messengers; Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad (peace be upon all of them), and many before. We are just a warner.

Justin Trudeau, in the last election, clearly announced that anyone who has any issue with LGBTTQ, same-sex marriage, and related matters, doesn’t contest the Liberal nomination election. All the current so-called “Muslim” Liberal candidates/caucus strongly support the “gay rights”. Our concern related to education and society is not their concern.

We all know that “gay rights” transgresses all the social and education rights of all the communities. We can’t raise and educate our children according to our traditional family values and God-given biologic gender. Liberal and Democrat governments are “co-parenting” your children, and they have major share in co-parenting.

It is unfortunate that Conservatives surrender to the Liberal/Democrats social agenda. Conservatives now adopt all the social evils initiated by Liberal/Democrats. If Conservative Party of Canada announces to repeal the same-sex marriage law (the mother of all new social evils of Canada) passed in Liberal majority Federal Parliament in 2005, we are ready to endorse and support them despite all the differences.

As Muslims, we should obey Allah (blessed and exalted is He) in all the conditions and not hide the Truth. If Allah will not protect us, no one on this earth is going to protect us. To get the protection of Allah, we have to obey Allah’s order:

“And from among you, there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong. It is they who will attain true success.” (Quran: 3:104)

The result of not obeying:

“Do not be like those who fell into factions and differed among themselves after clear signs had come to them. A mighty chastisement awaits them on the Day when some faces will turn bright, and other faces will turn dark. Those whose faces have turned dark will be told: 'Did you fall into unbelief after you had been blessed with belief? Taste, then, the chastisement for your unbelief.” (Quran: 3:105)

Gender apostasy and sexual disorientation is the most prominent social evil (shirk), and the interest-based economy is the most significant economic evil (shirk) of our time. We must stand against these evils.

Addressing Muslims, Allah says:

“You are now the best people brought forth for (the guidance and reform of) mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. Had the People of the Book believed it was better for them. Some of them are believers, but most of them are transgressors.” (Quran: 3:110)
