Voting for a Fāḥishist or a Zionist?

Voting for a Fāḥishist or a Zionist?

Jawed Anwar

SOME liberal Imams and so-called Muslim leaders in Canada are urging you to vote, claiming it's your "civic" and "religious" duty.

Don’t be deceived.
Voting in Canada is neither a civic duty nor a religious obligation. It is completely a personal choice. There is no legal or religious requirement that forces you to vote.

But if you do choose to vote — ask yourself:
Are you voting for a Faḥishist or a Zionist?

The Qur’an commands us not to support evil in any form. It is our duty to stand against evil — all of it.

“You are now the best people brought forth for (the guidance and reform of) mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” (Quran 3:110)
Sadly, some of these liberal Imams and supporters of faḥish politicians are pressuring Muslims to vote.

However, some non-Muslim faith groups choose not to vote for religious reasons. For example, Jehovah’s Witnesses are known globally for their stance of political neutrality, which includes avoiding participation in elections. This is based on biblical teachings that emphasize allegiance to God’s Kingdom (sovereignty belongs to God) over earthly governments.

Less than 50% of Canadians vote — only 43% participated in the last Ontario provincial election held a few months ago.

You are not obligated to follow your Imam and leaders.
Obeying them blindly is like worshiping other than Allah.

“They have taken their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah…”
(Surah At-Tawbah 9:31)
When the Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse, ʿAdī ibn Ḥātim (a former Christian) said:
“O Messenger of Allah, we did not worship them!”
The Prophet (ﷺ) replied:
“Did they not make permissible what Allah had forbidden, and you accepted it? And did they not make forbidden what Allah had made permissible, and you accepted it?”
ʿAdī said: “Yes.”
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Then that was your worship* of them.”
(Hadith – Tirmidhi, Ahmad, etc.)

*worship = Ibadah =obey

Today, some Muslims are doing exactly what the Jews and Christians did before us.

“You will surely follow the ways of those who came before you, handspan by handspan, cubit by cubit, to the extent that if they entered the hole of a lizard, you would enter it too.”
The Companions asked, “O Messenger of Allah, do you mean the Jews and Christians?”
He (ﷺ) replied, “Who else?”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 3456, Sahih Muslim 2669)

If you keep following these Imams and leaders — who already support evil — what will you do when they deny the coming of Imam Mahdi and ʿIsa (Jesus, peace be upon him) and instead stand with Dajjal?

Some Imams already show their hatred toward the true Islamic resistance in Palestine (Hamas) and Afghanistan (Taliban). They slander them by calling them Khawarij. Yet they remain silent or show support for Middle Eastern kings who directly and indirectly support Israel.

Those who call the true Mujahidin "Khawarij" and "terrorists" are, in truth, the real allies of Zionism and Israel.

And any scholar or leader who calls the Mujahidin “Khawarij” — is, in a twisted way, pretending to be ʿAli (RA).

Liberal Imams and so-called leaders — you are not the friends of ʿAli (RA). You are his enemies. You have come to Canada not to preach Islam, but to distort the deen, mislead the community, and enjoy comfort with your liberal allies.

You are not calling people to truth —
You are doing the opposite: Amr bil-Munkar (commanding evil) and Nahy ʿanil-Maʿrūf (forbidding good).
And worst of all — you are using the Prophet’s (ﷺ) pulpit to do it.

Where is your shame?

We believe that many sincere Christians will join the truth when they see ʿIsa (Jesus AS) return to earth — but most of these liberal Imams will not.
